Robert Boone is the new Executive Director of the MOST Policy Initiative Organization. Robert has been a public servant for over 40 years. His background includes 5 years as the Assistant Director of Administration for the City of Fulton, Mo. Robert also served as the Legislative Coordinator for the Missouri Public Service Commission. Robert’s background includes a working knowledge of topical state and federal public utility regulatory issues, specifically those that involve legislative matters. Robert exercises excellent judgment in handling legislative activities. This crucial ability has been allowed to develop during his years of service in state government.
Prior to working for the Public Service Commission, Robert served as the Director of Policy for Missouri State Treasurer Nancy Farmer. Robert previously worked for Legislative Research as a Research Analyst and got his original start in state government as a Supervising Revenue Agent for the Department of Revenue.
Robert is a member of the Advisory Board for the Harry S. Truman School of Public Policy at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Robert is a 1978 graduate of Hannibal High School. Robert received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Drury University in 1982 and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1997. Robert is the son of Kathleen Boone Kelley (from Hannibal). Robert is married to Monica Boone, has one daughter and two grandchildren.
